My company website is getting a major overhaul. Today, I’m sitting in Salt Lake City poking around in the innards of WordPress, which is a place I never really wanted to be. On my old site, I had someone write me a rather hacky PHP file that would pull the posts from WP that I wanted to an external HTML file, and then I’d style everything the way I wanted. This made making it look the way I wanted very easy, but it basically defeated half the purpose of WP, which has a host of very nice features for blogging.
So this time, I’m going about making WordPress look like the rest of my website, which is…you know, difficult. I’m basically going to end up using a heavily-modified blank-ish theme I downloaded, and I’ll just brute-force it into submission.
I actually DO have things I want to write about that aren’t work, but life is crazy, yo. I have an entry on the NSA, and thoughts on future children, and general updates about life. I just have to get around to doing them. And since my eyes are burning and I’m pretty much done fighting PHP today, instead of writing those I’m going to take a nap.
